…Cyber Monday! For the first time in history Cyber Monday lived up to its hype, according to e-commerce software company Volusion. Cyber Monday 2010 (November 29, 2010) achieved the honor of the busiest selling day of the year. Plus, online shopping in 2010 marked the first time spending went over the billion dollar mark!

The biggest selling day in 2009 was Tuesday, December 15 and for 2008 it was also a Tuesday, December 9. Because Cyber Monday in 2010 was truly the biggest online shopping day, the number of shopping days between the biggest shopping day and Christmas was a whopping 25 days–compared to the 2009 number of 9 and the 9-year average (10.2).
