Happy (almost) election day! With the Presidential race so close, we thought we’d share this fun app we found that might help you get through the day. This new election app, powered by Alteryx, is predicting voting patterns at the hyper-local level—by zip code or neighborhood—information that carries a lot of value in a race that is effectively tied at the national level.
The app leverages USA Today/Gallup Presidential poll data, Experian household data, US Census data, and third-party registered voter information, and uses statistical and predictive analysis to predict local voter preferences. Once the application is run, a visual report highlights presidential preferences mapped to a zip code or drive time analysis from a provided street address; local demographic information, including mean age, income and housing valuations; and a national map with the latest predicted polling data at the county level.
