If your business requires you to work at the office for hours, you probably know how exhausting it can be ‒ especially when there’s too much work to do and not enough time. Plus, it gets even harder if you don’t have the right tools and equipment.  Fortunately, there are many gadgets and apps that can save your workday ‒ or at least make it a bit easier. So, if you could use a bit of help in order to stay productive and motivated, here are ten gadgets and apps you should definitely check out.

The gadgets

Everything you do at the office can be much easier and even fun if you have the right gadgets for the job. They can be simple like a cup holder, or totally geeky like noise-canceling headphones. Nevertheless, working with them will definitely be enjoyable.

Clip-on cup holder

If your work requires spending a lot of time at the computer or laptop, then you are probably familiar with the anxiety you feel every time somebody passes your desk right after you’ve conveniently placed your drink on the table next to your computer. Spilling a drink on your electronics can be a disaster ‒ a disaster that can never happen if you use a clip-on cup holder.

Silent mouse

Considering we live in the digital age, it’s not hard to find quality hardware. So, if the constant clicking of your mouse distracts you from your work, consider buying a silent mouse. It might not make that much of a difference if you’re working in a bigger office with more people (unless everybody buys it), but it’s perfect if you have your own office.

Noise-canceling headphones

In case you do work in a bigger office with more people but you still need peace and quiet to concentrate, think about getting a pair of noise-canceling headphones. Instead of listening to clicking and chattering, you’ll be able to focus on your work in silence ‒ or some calming music of your choice.

Label writer

The best way to keep all your documents organized is to label them properly, which is where a label writer comes into play. Just make sure to get durable Dymo labels so you don’t have to label things too often, and you’ll never again have to spend more than a few minutes searching for your files.

Digital smartpen

If your job requires you to write a lot, especially during business meetings or presentations, then this is a gadget you absolutely need. Besides being able to record audio and memorize every word’s location in the recording, it converts your writing to digital format, which you can then save and see on your computer.

The Apps

Digital tools are just as important as the physical ones, as they can help you stay organized and spend less time doing different tasks that apps can do much faster.

Trello

This app allows you to assign projects to your team members, monitor the projects, and discard them once they are done. It also gives you the ability to send embed videos and images, create collaborative notes, and make group polls.

Mental Workout

Mental Workout has five different functions that can help you improve your mental fitness. Each one of them was created with the help from specialists, so if you could use an app that can help you reduce stress or boost your productivity, this is the one.

FullContact

Memorizing names and numbers of all the people you meet nowadays is nearly impossible. This app allows you to simply scan or take a picture of a business card and it uploads all the info to your phone in about 15 minutes.

Saved.io

Saved.io saves all your bookmarks on your cloud so you can use them on any other smart device whenever you need them. It also makes it easier to organize your bookmarks by allowing you to annotate them, so you can remember why they were important.

Cloud storage apps

There are many ways in which these types of apps can be useful to you. They allow you to access your documents from any smart device, add new documents to your cloud storage, and share them with your colleagues. Most of these apps are free, and one of the best things about them is that the files can easily be restored if they get deleted by accident.

There’s no need to spend hours at your desk thinking about the next Friday just so you could take a break from your exhausting job; introduce a couple of new devices and apps into your work routine and your job will definitely become much more interesting.
