There are billions of users who use internet daily. It has become an integral part of our daily lives. It has really transformed our lives to such an extent that we can’t even imagine to live without it. In fact, we all have become addicted to internet.

As one of an avid internet user, have you ever thought that you have actually become vulnerable over the internet? This thought must have gone through everyone’s mind. But the fact remains that most of the internet users don’t care about being vulnerable online.

This is the reason why cyber criminals and hackers find us as easy targets and breach our security and privacy over the web. The increased number of hack attacks has forced international community to come up with some so called surveillance laws. But don’t worry. The situation is not that gloomy.

There are tools that can help internet users, maximize their anonymity over the web. In this blog, I will elaborate about five of the most commonly used tools by users to maximize their security and privacy online.

Without much ado, let’s begin!

Ivacy VPN

Ivacy is one of the fastest emerging and the most affordable virtual private network (VPN) service provider in the world today. LastPass

What’s your most treasured possession? It’s identity. There’s no doubt about it. Passwords act as security guard to protect your identity. LastPass is a password manager that helps users use a single password to access multiple accounts on multiple web browsers. One of the best advantages of using LastPass is that it helps users to create impenetrable and strong passwords so that the users remain anonymous over the web.

Using LastPass means, users need to remember only one password for their multiple accounts. Users can download LastPass for free. There are two other options available. Users can get LastPass Premium for $12 per year, and LastPass Enterprise for $24 per year.

HTTPS Everywhere

If you want to browse the internet with complete security, then HTTPS Everywhere is the best choice for you. HTTPS Everywhere is a plugin for Firefox, Chrome and Opera users that helps them remain secure over the web. This particular plugin essentially connects the users to their desired websites in the correct secure mode, thus encrypting your traffic and data over the web.

This plugin gives its users the ultimate freedom to access any website with complete security and anonymity. Hence, there is no fear of hackers and online criminals eavesdropping the users’ personal information and other related data.

kDuckGo

Well. what if I tell you that Google is not the most secure search engine in the world. Don’t get surprised though. There are many alternatives available and people are using them.

DuckDuckGo is a search engine that works just like Google. One of the best advantages of using DuckDuckGo is that it is a secure search engine. One of the best advantages of using this search engine is that it is completely anonymous, hence, no one, even the so called hackers have no knowledge of your digital whereabouts, when you use DuckDuckGo.

It offers quality search results to its users, hence, there is no need to use Google, if you want private and secure search results, while remaining anonymous over the web. Most importantly, unlike Google, it does not store any of its users’ information.

Tor Browser

The tag-line ‘Anonymity Online’ says it all. Tor is one of the most commonly used web browser in the world today. If you are a privacy geek, you must have used it to visit all your desired websites, without anyone knowing your location.

This is the beauty of Tor, that with it, you remain completely secure and anonymous while browsing the internet. It means you can access any website from anywhere in the world, without any fear of leaking out your personal information and other sensitive data, on any website that you desire to visit.

This is it. This brings us to the end of this blog. Here, I have only covered five of the most commonly used tools to maximize internet users’ anonymity over the web. I know that there are many other tools out there, but I have deliberately left them out. Now, it’s your turn to contribute to this blog with your suggestions and opinions.
