Small business owners recognized the technology they find most helpful in SurePayroll’s second annual favorite tech tools survey, part of the company’s July 2015 SurePayroll Small Business Scorecard.

Leading the rankings were user friendly, low-cost and Cloud-based tools. SurePayroll asked small business owners and entrepreneurs nationwide to rank their favorite tech tools in the categories of Cloud Storage Providers, Organization Apps, Social Networks, Social Media Management, Customer Relationship Management and Email Marketing Software.

Nearly four in five (78 percent) small business owners indicated that they are changing the way they do business to account for a more technology-based marketplace. This is up from 70 percent a year ago, according to the Scorecard survey.

“There are really two aspects of technology that small business owners are concerned with. One is updating their internal systems – websites, software, older products. The other part of it is maximizing their productivity with some of the great tools that are out there,” said SurePayroll General Manager Andy Roe. “Our favorite tech tools list is really a reflection of how small business owners are becoming more efficient, while using less resources and spending less cash. Technology has enabled that capability.”
